LCFC Football at Judgemeadow

A very decent start for Spinney Hill at Judgemeadow saw them record a couple of draws, one win and two losses. Aameer Amanji was one of the stars of the show with a brace in one of the games which we won 2-0. All the boys were exceptional in the way they conducted themselves and how they played. They represented Spinney Hill proudly and looked to demonstrate the values that we look to promote. WELL DONE LADS!

Mixed football tournament at Goals

We took a mixed year 5 and a mixed year 6 football team to goals on Monday 25th September to take part in a tournament with other local schools.

Both teams managed to finish 3rd in their respective leagues with all the children playing extremely well. Special mentions to Shakeel who scored 9 goals in 5 games and Fahad who scored a hat trick in one game. Ricardo and Najib (who is only a year 4) shone for the year 5 team.

Huge well done to both squads:

year 6 - Salma, Haleema, Asma, Alia, Shakeel, Ismeil and Fahad

Year 5 - Hamzah, Eesa, Najib, Ricardo, Yusuf, Hana, Ishrat, Saffiyah and Rumaisa

Football trip to take part in the Danone Trophy @ Rolleston Primary

Our first trip of the year saw the year 6 boys travel to Rolleston Primary School to take part in 3 football matches. The competition was strong and we didn't manage to register a win this time, however there were some standout performances throughout the team. Notably from goal-keepers Sharandeep Singh and Shakeel Umar who made some stunning saves. And Fahad, who managed to score a wondeful goal that Neymar would've been proud of! Next we travel to Judgemeadow to take part in the LCFC leagues.
