Day 6

Week 2

Welcome back after the weekend. We hope that you are all well.

We know how difficult it can be teaching your child at home.  Rest assured, you are doing the best that you can.                                Here are a few things that might help:

  • Try to create the right learning environment without distractions whilst learning.
  • Set aside time each day for learning, keep to this time as routine is good.
  • Keep learning time ' little and often' rather than long stretches of time.
  • Remember to keep learning fun and enjoyable and praise your child for their effort.

Do not worry if you fall behind with some of the work that we set some days - it's okay!! Take out time each day to enjoy with your family and look after each other. We miss you all and look forward to seeing you all soon.

Keep smiling, stay safe and be positive.

Day 6: Tricky word- be (please use your books to record your work)

Can you read and answer these questions?

We made some bread at home. Have a go at making some biscuits/cakes/bread with an adult at home. Can you talk about what you did in full sentences? Make sure your sentences make sense!!!

Applying Math in a story

Hello everyone, hope you're having a mathtastic day!

Every morning my children and I choose a number, we write it, count it and practice that number the whole day!

Why don't you have a go and challenge yourselves? I would love to see your number creations!

Day 6 Writing  -  Art and Craft      'Spring is here'

Look at the Spring Photos below, also look outdoors for inspiration.  How has the weather changed?

Create your own Spring picture using resources that you have in your house. Use Felt tips/paints or even coloured paper.

It' is important that your child enjoys creating their Spring picture, join your child and create your own picture.

Art can be very relaxing and a great way to enjoy and calm the mind. Be creative!!!

Here is the writing part

  • Write something about your picture.  For example: Daffodils growing in the grass.
  • Say your sentence a few times.
  • Clap the sentence and count how many words there are in the sentence.
  • Write each word down carefully.
  • Remember to  finger space.
  • What sounds can you hear in order?
