Easter Holiday Homework

6th April - 17th April 2020

We will continue to post our daily tasks from Monday 20th April 2020.

Good Morning Year 3,

We hope you and your families are in the best of health. We can’t believe it’s been 2 weeks since the last time we saw you all, we are all missing you!

What a strange end of term it has been! Thank you for all your hard work and your perseverance in completing the activities. From all of us – a huge WELL DONE! You are doing an amazing job! Keep it up!

Over the holiday, we will be giving you one set task. Be as creative as you want! We are looking forward to seeing all the fantastic work, and hearing about all your experiences.

We have 3 challenges for you. Are your ready?

Number one...      Make someone at home SMILE everydaysmiley It could be helping your parents in any way. You could do some of the chores, that's always a winner!

Number two...      Year 3s, let see if we can get in to the top 10 in the Spelling Shed League Tables. We can only do this, if we work in a team and everyone contributes. Come on Year 3, we have easily got this in the bag!

Number three...     and the most challenging one...               Become a singer and song writer!

Next term we will be learning about... 'Why do we have a skeleton?'

Have you heard of the song, Skeleton Dance? Well, have a listen by clicking on the link. Your challenge is to create your own lines by adding the following vocabulary:

finger bones, ribs, calf bone, elbow bone, skull, shin bone, humerus (upper arm bone), backbone, thigh one, hip bone, forearm bone, femur (upper leg bone)

Remember you have to keep to the tune and rhythm of the song!

If you can, record yourself and send it to us! We can't wait to see them!

Below are some exciting, fun Easter activities you could try at home. Please use whatever you have at home - change them up, be creative! Also, get your family involved. If you do try them, please keep them or take photos. We would love to see them!

We would like you to get some well-deserved rest, stay active (check out Mr Pepper and Miss Magee’s page – you won’t be disappointed!), and have lots of fun! Cherish the special moments with your family.

Have a fantastic holiday! Stay at home, and most importantly, keep safe!

We are looking forward to seeing you all very soon.

From your Year 3 Teachers
