HOW TO STRUCTURE YOUR DAY

We hope you are all looking after your reading books and getting into lots of books. In fact we hope that you are into a book right now that you cannot put it down!

We now have daily lessons for grammar/writing, reading and maths - day-by-day.

Spend 10 mins per day on both Timestable Rockstars and Spelling Shed

You must also read for at least 30 minutes per day. You should be aiming to be reading 1 novel per week. Remember how important reading is to exercise your brain, for your well-being and also to develop your language skills.

Have a wonder through science and learn all about the HEART!

How about using the Slavery knowledge organiser, to create a poster on the Transatlantic Slave Trade? Or create a quiz on it, or perhaps find out more about TAST. When you feel up to it, delve into the Topic section, Home Learning Packs, Wild & Wacky Challenges and Non-screen activities. There are lots of fun and interesting activities here. The weblinks are also very useful, with lots of activities/ideas. Perhaps 1 activity per day of a few over the weekend?

It is really up to you! Keep your brains active!

Plus, KEEP PHYSICALLY FIT! Look under the PE section of this website and have a go at some of the PE activities with Miss Magee and Mr Pepper! Or why not visit PE with Joe Wicks on YouTube. It really gets your body ready for the day and can be done in the garden or in your bedroom with your whole family!

COOK, DANCE, GARDEN OR GO FOR A RUN!

Most importantly, be SAFE & be HAPPY!

From your Year 6 Teachers! laugh
