Messages From The Teachers

Dear Year 4,

What a year it has been! All of the teachers have sent letters to you all, make sure you do have a read of them. Thank you for being a pleasure to teach and all the best for next year. We will see you around in school which will be nice. Enjoy the time with your families.

Miss Patel

Hello again,

It has been a while, hasn't it. How are you all doing? What a strange week it has been! I hope you are all doing well and staying safe. I have been busy towards the end of term doing lots of work. You will be getting your packs, make sure you work through them. You will  also be getting your reports soon. A huge well done to you all. You all have done well this year and although it would have been nice to see you again, I look forward to seeing you in the new academic year. Continue smiling and staying safe.

Remember:

Nothing is impossible.

Dreams can come true.

Hello Year 4,

I hope you are doing well. I have been very busy indeed however, I did also have some time over the weekend to play some basketball in the garden, which was fun. Did you do anything nice? Remember to keep practicing your spellings and try your hardest. Keep hold of all the lovely memories you have built over these strange times. Enjoy the rest of the week and continue to stay safe and stay positive.

Remember:

Be happy

Not because everything is good,

But because you can see the good side of everything.

Miss Patel

Hey Year 4,

How are you all doing? It's been such a long time since we were last together.

Everything is still changing all the time, but at least some things are getting back to normal.

Finally we are able to meet up with some of our family and friends, as long as we are outside and following those social distancing rules!! (We must all be able to measure 2 metres just by looking now!)

Some children are now able to go back to school, but for those of us still at home, the work will still be ready for you on the website. Remember do your best, do as much as you can, don't struggle if you don't understand. Your family will help you as much as they can, and your teachers are just a quick message away (Yes we will still help even though we can't spend time with you).

Keep up the good work on Spelling Shed, Times Tables Rock Star and Active Learn! If you fancy a few brain teasers to keep you going check out and follow @MissSpurling on Twitter.

If you visit the events section of the school library you will also be able to enjoy activities for the Puffin Books Festival of Big Dreams, and sign up for this years Summer Reading Challenge, which has gone virtual because all the libraries are closed.

Whatever you are doing, stay safe and be strong.

The Year 4 Teachers

Hello Year 4,

I hope you had a lovely half term and if you were celebrating Eid, I hope you had some great celebrations. I have had a busy half term at home. A lot of cleaning, baking and re-living some old memories. I played netball which was great because I love playing that game.

I am sure you would have heard of the new government advice, remember to keep talking about your worries and build on all the lovely memories with your family.

Enjoy the sunshine  and remember:

Look for something positive each day,

Even if some days you have to look a little harder.

Miss Patel

We hope you are all doing well and enjoying the weather. If you are celebrating Eid over the weekend, we would like to wish you a Happy Eid. Enjoy he half term.

Year 4 teachers

Hello Year 4,

I hope that you had a good weekend. The weather seems to be brightening up. It's the last week before half term! It has gone by very quickly. What a strange term it has been? I am sure you have been watching the news and Mrs Stretton has been keeping your parent's updated. Remember, if you have any worries to talk to someone. Do any of you have any plans for the next week? I plan to do some baking. I like baking, it is one of my favourite hobbies. 4 Eiffel Tower, come on, let's go back up the league in the spellings. We can do it!!

Remember:

Believe in yourself!

Have faith in your abilities!

have humble but reasonable confidence in your own self!

Stay smiling, Stay happy!

Hello again,

I hope you are doing well, it is getting a bit cold now! Did you all have a good weekend? I would like to say to 4AP well done, you are doing great on Spelling shed and we have moved up to 9th place!! laugh. Super work! Are you having fun learning about teeth and digestion? It is fascinating. Thank you to all the children who sent in work. It has been lovely seeing the pictures. I need to practice my art skills now. We all know what a lovely stick person I can draw.

Continue to smile

Remember:

No matter how you feel,

Hi everyone!!!

We hope you're all taking care of yourselves and are enjoying some quality time at home with your family! We thought it would be nice for you all to see what us teachers are doing at home to occupy our time. What have you been up to?

Lots of love,

Miss Alimahomed, Miss Begum, Miss Patel and Miss Spurling

Hello again,

I hope you are all well. What a week it has been! I feel like the time is flying by , already Monday. Did you all have a good week last week? My weekend was very different, especially with fasting but it was nice. When i finish the World's Worst Teachers I need to start another book. Do you have any recommendations?

Again, we have uploaded work and there are videos of Miss Magee and Mr Pepper in the PE page. Make sure you have a look. A huge well done to 4AP (Eiffel Tower), I have seen a massive improvement in your spellings on Spelling Shed. We are still in the top 10 in the spelling league. I believe that we can be in the top 5. Come on!!! We can do it!!!

I really hope that you are making some lovely memories in these weird times and I look forward to hearing all about it whenever that may be. Don't forget, you can send pictures of your work on the parent app and I will receive them.

Helo blwyddyn 4,

Gobeithio eich bod yn dda ac yn gweithio'n galed gartref. Fel gweddill athrawon blwyddyn 4, rwy'n brysur yn cynllunio ac yn gweithio gartref, ond rwy'n ceisio gwneud rhywfaint o ddysgu fy hun hefyd. Fel y gwelwch Dwi wedi bod yn brysur yn dysgu iaith newydd-Cymraeg.

Hello year 4,

Hope you are well and working hard at home. Like the rest of the year 4 teachers, I am busy planning and working at home, but I am trying to do some learning myself too. As you can see I have been busy learning a new language - Welsh.

Ok I cheated a little to write this but my favourite phrases to say so far are ‘Dw i’n hoffi coffi’ (I like coffee) and ‘Dw i weddi blenno’ (I am tired). I’m sure I’ll find lots of other fun phrase too.

I know how hard it must be to concentrate on work at home, with all your lovely things and family around you, but keep it up, you are doing a fantastic job.

4CS – You are letting me down a little though. We are dropping down the league tables for TTRS and Spelling Shed! I have faith that you can put this right. Get online, spell and multiply like crazy. IT WILL BE WORTH IT!

Remember to let us know what you have been doing, we can’t wait to see what amazing work you have produced.

Stay Strong and Keep Smiling

Miss Spurling

Hello again Year 4,

I hope you all had a lovely weekend. The weather was beautiful wasn't it? My cat loved playing outside she didn't want to seem to come in. I played tennis in the garden over the weekend and some dodgeball. That was fun.

Are any of you reading anything nice at the moment? I have the world's worst teachers just like Miss Alimohamed, it is a very interesting book but I perfer the World's Worst Children.

Work has been uploaded onto the pages and remember to keep practicing your spellings. 4AP come on let's see if we can be in the top 5. I know you can do it! I am sure you are all doing really well and working hard not only on school work but also helping your families.

Remember children:

You are Amazing

You are Brave

You are Strong

Hello Year 4 laugh!

How are you all? I hope you have all settled into a good routine at home and are making some great memories with your families. I'll tell you a little secret - all of us teachers are missing you all blush! We are extremely proud of you all for working well at home and staying indoors yes. The weather has been fantastic! I go out into the garden daily for my exercises. I spend the rest of the day sipping my coffee enjoying the view through the window whilst completing other tasks.

Here are a few things I have been doing to keep myself occupied at home when I am not working:

  1. My father and I worked tirelessly to complete all the puzzles we own.
  2. I have been painting.
  3. I tried out some cool science experiments (some of which just wouldn't work)
  4. I have read lots of books! I am currently reading 'Worlds Worst Teachers' by David Walliams and I feel happy to say NONE of the teachers have reminded me of me so far. I hope you agree with me! cheeky

What have you been doing? Have you done anything exciting? I can't wait to hear what you all have been up to.

Stay safe angel

Miss Alimahomed

Hello year 4!

How are you all? I am well but I am quite sad as I miss you all. Firstly I would like to say a massive well done to all the children for working so hard at home. I hope you are helping out with some chores at home... I mean I have to do so many chores so it's only fair that you guys are doing the same!

I have been keeping myself busy by doing lots of baking and painting. I would love to know what you all have been up to aside from doing your home learning. Remember, it's important for you to keep fit so I urge you all to use Miss Magee and Mr Peppa's workout routines to help you keep fit. I have been doing them myself and I must admit I'm not as fit as I thought I was.

I hope you're all well and keeping safe.

Quote of the day: 'We didn't realise we were making memories, we just knew we were having fun' - Winnie the Pooh.

Best wishes,

Miss Begum

Hello Year 4,

I hope you are all doing well. A bit of a strange start to the summer term. I hope you had a lovely break over the half term. I for one had a very busy break. I have been baking, cleaning, working and trying out some of the fun activities on our page. I know Miss Alimahomad, Miss Begum and Miss Spurling have also been very busy too. Again a huge congratulations to the my class for winning the Times Table Rock Star challenge with 4SA. Keep a look out for more challenges soon.

I know it must be tough but keep talking about things and continue to stay strong. We miss you all very much and look forward to going back to school whenever that may be. We have uploaded work in one folder now so it will be easy for you all to access. Remember to check out Mr Pepper and Miss Magee's videos.

Just before I head of, 4 Eiffel Tower, I have been very impressed with your spellings. We are in the top 10 spelling league. Keep it up and keep practicing. let's see if we can be in the top 3. I know you can do it!

Stay Safe

Miss Patel   smiley
