Welcome children and parents to our reception phonics page. Below are some of the activities that you can do at home.  Please learn these sounds and encourage your children to hear them in short words and blend them together to read the words.

Tricky words

Tricky words should be read as whole words. They should not be broken up and sounded out.

Encourage your child to use these words in sentences when they speak.

Please also try and read some of the books on Active Learn. The books cover the sounds that we have learnt.
