Securing halal compliance
Our school meals are cooked at Linden Primary school by Leicestershire Traded Services. The meat supplier is registered with the HMC (Spicetime & Balti Company registered in Birmingham). We do not serve any non-halal meats during Spinney Hill school meals, the other options are vegetarian or vegan meals. This information is listed on each meal as parents order meals on the school payment system.
What is the policy on nut allergies?
We do not knowingly use any nut products or products derived from nuts in our kitchens. However we cannot guarantee that our food is free from nut products. If your child does suffer from a nut allergy or any other known allergies please contact the school or Leicestershire Traded Services (https://www.leicestershire.gov.uk/education-and-children/schools-colleges-and-academies/school-food ) and our dietician can create an appropriate menu.
My child is allergic to egg / wheat / dairy products
We would ask that you or your child ’s dietician contact Leicestershire Traded Services (https://www.leicestershire.gov.uk/education-and-children/schools-colleges-and-academies/school-food ) with your child’s medical referral. We can then arrange for an appropriate menu for your child.
