Your next piece of writing for after this half term will be creating a leaflet persuading people to visit Leicester.
For your homework, we would like you to research 3 sections:
•Places to visit – tourist attractions. PICK 3!! For example:
- space centre,
- King Richard III centre,
- Highcross,
- Fosse park,
- Melton Road (The Golden Mile),
- The Curve theatre,
- Bradgate Park or other parks
- The Jewry Wall,
- New Walk Museum and a range of cinemas/theatres.
- If you have any others you can think of then research these.
Write down what can you do at these places? Why should you go there?
•Variety of food –
- What foods are available?
- Describe them.
- Where can you find them?
•Think of persuasive language – for each of the places to encourage people to want to visit Leicester! What bossy and boastful language can you magpie?
