I have been a co-opted governor at Spinney Hill Primary School since May 2016.
Before this, I have had 18 years of experience as a teacher and have been working in the leadership team of Leicester city schools for the past 13 years.
I was appointed as an Assistant Head at Spinney Hill and began working here in August 2016 with responsibility for assessment across the school.
I am eager to use my experience of working within schools to ensure that Spinney Hill provides an excellent education for our pupils, developing links across the community and enabling the children to take part in an engaging and varied curriculum.
My background in education enables me to take part in discussions about the direction of the school and to identify the areas we need to develop further.
