Spinney Hill Primary School is an inclusive school and our aim is to ensure that every child not only makes very good progress but also enjoys their time in school.
We are a city primary school serving a multi-cultural area of Leicester, and we value the religious, linguistic and cultural diversity of our community. We admit children from 3 (nursery) to 11 years of age (year 6). The school was built early in the 20th century and has since been re-furbished and is very well maintained.
We really do want your children, not only to succeed in school academically, but also to be filled with a love of learning in all aspects of our curriculum and beyond. All the staff, and our active Governing Body, work very hard to meet the needs of all the families within the local neighbourhood and are committed to strengthening the links between home, school and community.
We welcome visitors to school and actively encourage parents to involve themselves in school life. If you would like to help in your child's class, please see Mrs Westmoreland. If you would like to visit the school to see how we work, please telephone or call in to the Reception Office and we will arrange a convenient time to meet and show you the work of the school. Many of our staff speak community languages and, if you wish, they will show you around.
Spinney Hill Primary School has been through a period of rapid change. We are clearly focused on children being given the best opportunities to learn through a collaborative engaging curriculum. As a school community we are continuously reflecting on how well we are doing and what is required to improve.
Staff, parents and pupils work well together to ensure all children have the best possible chances to succeed.
