Annual Seasonal Flu Vaccinations

All children and young people from reception to year 9 are being offered the flu vaccination in school by Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust’s Community Immunisation Service, as part of the national vaccination programme. Flu can be an unpleasant illness and make some people seriously ill. The flu vaccination protects against seasonal flu (influenza) and will also help to prevent the spread of flu, helping to protect others who are vulnerable. The vaccine is offered as a nasal spray or a gelatine-free injectable. To find out more about the vaccine visit: tiny.cc/fluvaccination or watch the animation: www.healthforkids.co.uk/staying-healthy/stopping-flu

Your child will only have the flu vaccination if consent is given. Please do this as soon as possible, using the instructions in the letters provided. You only need to submit your decision once.
